Halifax have for some time now had a 'problem' with transferring balances from MBNA run cards (and Egg for that matter) online - but not by phone for some reason! A possible anti-stoozing measure? So, you have two options...either Hubby remembers his security details (could he re-register?), or you BT through a third card...if you have one and the fees aren't prohibitive.0

Just a thought...if he has a large credit balance, maybe they have blocked his card?...see condition 7.6 of his T&C's.0

I have the same card, I guess there are sseveral ways to do it. Wait til the Halifax card bill comes in and ring them on the number given, normally you just need the card and the statement. i am a nightmare when it comes to remembering my codes. They will refund if you want, but while they are on the phone ask for a balance transfer. I did this yesterday and got, 6.95 % for the life of the balance and they are trying to increase my balance so I can transfer the whole amount.
Good luck!0 -
Can anyone help me with choosing a new credit card that allows up to £9000 on balance transfers as I want to consolidate my three cards into one. But with credit cards taking a back seat at the moment not to sure if there are any out there with this size limit who are willing to do 0% for up to 9 months or more?0

The only place i know of that would give a big limit straight off is
the Virgin/MBNA Group of cards.0
