Help! How Do I Work Out My Rebuild Value?

I have recently purchased my house from my local council, so now i need insurance for the house, but i am confused about my rebuild value.

The council valued my house at £65000 ,but after a discount i got it for a bit less any opinions or ideas where i can find out will be helpful.

Rebuild value is not connected to house value

- although obviously there's room for error as each property is different , did you have a mortgage valuation its sometimes listed there ?

other ways - pay for a surevyor to calculate

OR

go for one of the many insurance policies that do not require this information ( unlimited or .. upto £200/ £300K/£500K provided)

my insurance policy has a blanket cover..... ie it will pay out what needs tobe paid to have the house rebuilt up to a maximum......
