Paid Off but still charged intrest

last month I had a balance transfer come through for a credit card, which paid it off. 9 days later, I had a statement come through, with the balance transfer payment on there so I would have thought my account would be £0 with them but they charge me intrest on my cash balance, could someone explain???? thanks in advance.

Question of the week this one isn't it. At the top right of your screen is a search box. Enter 'residual interest' (without the quotes). Select Forums. Press Search. You'll find the answer to your question in the threads returned.
