Vanquis Taking Time?

in Credit cards
Hi all,
My Husband applied I think about 3 weeks ago for a Vanquis Card and sent the form back by return, the only thing he's had back from them though is another application form with a standard letter like the first application form he received?. I understand mailshot mistakes like this might be made anyway, but has anyone here applied for one of these recently, and how did it take for a card/refusal letter to arrive?.
PS: To inquire, roughly what kind of balances have you been getting from them if you don't mind me asking!

You should give them a call and ask, they are very freindly and very helpful on the phone
The credit limit will alldepend on your husbands credit score, if he has a pretty bad score, he is likely to only be offered a £150-£250 limit and even with a GREAT score you won't be offered more than £1000.
Make no mistakes about this card, this is not intended as a credit card asa such, it is more widely used as a credit BUILDING card
Hope this helps

Thanks Niteflyer!
He is indeed into this credit building thing, as has been self employed for a few years now and it's been a pain until quite recently with the advent of the Capital One deposit card (which he's had since December last year). It's definitely done him a favour already, being able to get pretty reasonable Car finance a few months ago.
Like you say the limit should be manageable (fully payable monthly!! imagine the interest otherwise  ) - I'll have to get him to ring them if he hears nothing again by end of week I suppose. You worry that perhaps they have sent it and it's got lost/stolen in the post.. :think:0 -

The thing is, they won't send him any card without first calling him and asking you a whole long list of security questions. Have they called him yet? If not, I would call them now. As good as they are, they sometimes need a little kick up the bum
If they have called hime already, how long ago was it? if it was more than 10 days ago, I would definitely call them now to see where your card is, mine took about 5 days to arrive but they told me it would arrive within 10 days
