Hi everyone,
I am walking 14km (approx 8 and 1/2 miles) in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society Scotland.
We are doing this in an event called 'Wheel & Walk', a walk specifically designed over three different routes in order for less abled people to take part.
The reason I am participating is because I was both a secondary and primary carer for my mother until the age of 18, when I left home to go to university. As I cannot be there all the time, I am constantly trying to help in other ways, this being one of them.
So far our (myself and OH) fundraising is not going particularly well. I am here to ask you to dig deep and perhaps donate any spare pennies you may have. Truly, every little helps and I would be so appreciative, as will the some 10,500 people affected by MS in Scotland. Multiple Sclerosis is a progressive disease, and affects the nerves within the brain. As well as symptoms such as general fatigue, loss of sensation and degenerative sight/hearing, MS affects the sufferer's ability to complete everyday tasks such as taking a trip to the supermarket or walking a dog. It is a nasty disease and there is no cure, as of yet. THe money I am raising will go towards things like helping research towards cures, funding a nurse for people with severe special needs, and offering respite care to carers, amongst many other things.

For more information on Multiple Sclerosis and the event itself, visit http://www.mssociety.org.uk/ms_events/bigfoot/windsor_park.html and http://www.mssocietyscotland.org.uk/
Also, feel free to message me if you have any queries.
This is an extremely worthy cause, and again, every little helps so please, dig deep.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Deborah
