I had the same problem, I wanted to fly from Newcastle and get a connection to Berlin from STANSTED but easyjet's flight just left me 50 mins so I decided it was not enough time. So I have booked the train to King's Cross for £27 which leaves me 3 hours to get to Stansted. I also booked a £7 day ticket for London. I checked on journey planner and it says to go to St Pancreas St and go to Walthamstow Central then Tottingham Hale to Stansted. Does that sound the best route please?

    you could also go

    Newcastle - Stevenage

then get the http://www.intalink.org.uk/ coach from Stevenage to Stansted airport.

The bus number is 700 and it takes about an hour from Stevenage train stn.

with this option you could use the ticket you have already purchased all you would have to do is pay for the bus.

I think you are best off getting a train - you need to get the train to Kings Cross then walk (2 mins walk) to st pancras station and get the FIRST CAPITAL CONNECT train straight into gatwick. The whole jurney will take only 4 hours. It should only cost about £40-£50 aswell

i have now booked this train journey:j , thanks again to all of you and your excellent advice, i new i could count on you lot:beer: .
