Advise on building internal stud walls

Hello!
I am planning on converting my 1 bed flat into 2 bed flat. This would require us to build 2 internal stud walls, no structural changes will be made. I have received the OK from the free holder but would i require something more official than just an email? Obviously I would need to get the lease changed by the solicitors but is there anything else I will need to do before I can put the walls up?
any advise appreciated

I've taken a look on the Planning Portal and it says:
So it looks as though you will have to apply for building regulations and submit drawings to them.Planning Permission
You should not need to apply for planning permission for internal alterations including building or removing an internal wall. If you live in a listed building, however, you will need listed building consent for any significant works whether internal or external.
Building Regulations
If you wish to build a new internal wall, building regulations will normally apply. If you wish to remove an internal wall, or form an opening in an internal wall, building regulations will normally apply. Care should be taken before removing internal walls as these might have a number of functions that could affect the building and the safety of occupants.
The building regulations specific page for internal walls is here. They are particularly interested in the separation of the two spaces in terms of fires and heat. If you are putting electrics into the wall - sockets, switches etc - then they also will be interested.0 -
Go into your local branch of Wicke's and they do a free leaflet on building a stud wall, might even be available for download off their website wickes.co.uk (I think)0
