TIMING WHEN SELLING

So I have looked through the tips for sellers, and I am wondering when is the best time to have your auction finish. The tips seem to say Tuesday evening, Thursday evening or Sunday evening - so which is it?
Also keep it short or as long as possible (days)?
I personally start at a penny, for 10 days, finishing on a Sunday evening.
Any views?

My thinking exactly
Seems to work - have several items doing well at the moment, and it's only Wednesday..!.0 -
The days you suggest are good evenings to end, I tend to use Sundays, but if I have a lot of auctions will spread them onto Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well.

One thing...
Do not have them end too late on a Sunday evening.....people wander off to watch TV after about 8pm.
Whereas on week night I reckon between 8pm and 9pm is good.
Also some stuff seems to sell well during the day.
One other tip if you are going to do a short listing. Look when others are ending and pick a gap where you have no competition. (Usually better on commodity type items).
When you have 4 (or whatever) identical items all ending at the same time you will see the final price drop.0 -
Hi
I used to find Sundays were brilliant but they have slowed down, and ith the run up to christmas I dont think it will be a good selling day.
I now avoid Sundays ( as people are busy shopping, watching telly etc) .Also Saturdays and Fridays are really bad.
The best day seems to be Tuedsay night , I end mine between 9.30 -11.00 which works well. Wednesday are pretty good too.
Partly I think it depends on what your selling , earlier times for Kids stuff etc and later times for the night owl buyers.
Hope that helps.
::)Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.0 -
