I had this search several months ago now (as a selected user) and it looks like its back again, there is an opt out button on the bottom of the search page if anyone want it??? But don't think it will be there for long as it seems they are going ahead with it, much to most peoples dislike.

One good thing about it is that the P&P charges for shop items are now displayed on the search results page, and they weren't before, which I hope will be good for me as there are sellers selling the same things as me cheaper but with higher postage charges.

So are we to expect EVERY buyer to refer to that thread in order to learn how to search for items?? A search should be a simple case of entering the item you are looking for, click search, wait for the results. I do not need the eBay thought police telling me what they THINK I want to see, I want to make that decision for myself as quickly and simply as possible.

It's a complete disgrace the way this whole farce has been handled, and given that the last discussion on the thread has been completely ignored by the pinks for the last 1800 posts does not bode well for this new thread.

eBay AU have now published a guide on how the new search works.

    http://pages.ebay.com.au/pdf/Finding-items-ebayAU.pdf

A 12 page guide on how to search for items on eBay??? Can we expect every buyer to read that in order to find the right item on eBay?

How difficult do they want to make it for users, and why can they not see just how badly applied and unpopular this search is?
