Having problems with it missing out letters/numbers/commands. Have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but to no avail.

Running Windows XP on a desk top - problem mainly seems to happen on Outlook email messages rather than Word docs or filling in text box on a website like this.

Any help appreciated

Format the hard drive, re-install Windows and try again. That will clear all the junk off your system.

I'm still trying to work out if that's sarcasm or not!! There's a lack of intonation on forum posts lol.

is it a usb or ps2 keyboard?
If it is a usb one try a different USB port or try deleting the usb hub from control panel hardware and rebooting. If it is a PS2 one then I would suggest trying a USB one.
