barclays do, but takes about 7 days, and thats you taking documents into a branch today, passport, d/licence, utility bill

    go for it!

you MUST specify a "cashcard" account

ask your employer if its too late to divert to another account (friend or family)

Have you got a friend/relative whose account you could pay it into until you get an account up and running. Co-op seems to be the best with good online banking and you can do a phone applicaton but as phil says doubtful it will be operating by friday.D

There are 2 banks that allow bankruptcy: These are Barclays and the Co-Op. The Co-Op's sposed to be better as it has better customer satisfaction figures.

your still pushing it for an account to be opened by Friday.....can you not as dalip suggested use a freind/relatives bank account as a temp measure? or can your payroll not raise a cheque as a one off till your sorted with an account?

I doubt you'll get anything that quick, can you not get it paid into someone elses account this month, or ask for a cheque.

If you've got the account details can you not contact Natwest & enquire?
remember though the account will more than probably be closed once you go BR
