Jpeg picture

I've managed to paste an image from the web onto a wordpad document, but i've a picture which i've scanned into pictures but when i try to paste it onto my document i just get a little box thing which says mike aged 5(thats what i've named picture)where am i going wrong ?

It may be a format not supported by wordpad, try opening it in something like mspaint, open that by going to Start / Run and typing in mspaint. If you have another photo application that may work better.

If it opens there you can then save it to a jpeg file or something else more suitable.
