Have ordered £1200 of leather sofa and took out the protection about 3-4 weeks ago. Obviously it has not been delivered yet, so can i cancel the protection policy???

Was this in the first 2 years? because it's all covered by the manufacturers standard warranty until then,
after the first 2 years are up all bets are off and only spillages are coved for.

According to the back of the sales order, have a look at General Conditions Section 6, part 9. You can cancel the insurance upto 30 days from the commencment date. The commencement date being the day they deliver the furniture. I sent them an e-mail then they rang me and gave me the 3rd degree on it so be prepared. Just keep saying cancel it cancel it cancel it. Eventually they get the message that they're not getting anywhere. They'll try and go through all sorts of scenarios to try and reel you back in 'What will you do if this happens blah blah... someone else just charges £150 for a callout before they fix the problem blah blah'. I told him to stop trying to bully me and cancel it.

    Hope this helps

As my reply to Sarge above I'm afraid the terms are the same with your cover. As you've had the furniture over 30 days though you can cancel it but you won't get any of your premium back.
