When buying a used car is there a way to find out if the vehicle has been involved in any previous accidents?
Thanks

This is probably one most people will have heard of,you can also try The AA or the RAC.

The problem with a HPI check is that it only records actual write-offs. Many cars are involved in accidents and the insurer repairs the vehicle without it ever being recorded on any database.0

So if the car has been involved in a minor accident, insurance company notified - it will not show up on a HPI check?0

one suggestion would be if you go and look at the car, look for changes in the spray paint finish of the car, feel the bumper is there any rough areas, change in appearance,
I know its basic, but bumpers etc, would indiciate whether they have been hit, the spray paint, if the car has had a partial respray afta an accident, difference in spray.
As well as the HPI check, think the AA still do vechile checks use to be about £150.00, not a gd idea if your interested in 10 cars, but 1 car and yr paying 5k, small % in comparison.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
