tomatoe plants
Hello guys and girls can anyone tell me why the lower leaves on my tomato plants are curling up and is this cause for concern? (it reminds me of a hand closing) not drooping and they are watered regulary. After loosing all my tomatoe plants i grew from seed i dont want to loose these now especialy as i have tomatos on one of them.
Thanks in advance balloo your ever faithfull garden novice.

look underneath and see if they are clean or have bugs like greenfly on them.
If they are clean and the leaves are annoying you, just cut them off. As they grow they don't need the older leaves anymore, just be careful not to chop any stems with fruit on them.0 -

This often happens to mine. I put it down to the fact that these are the oldest leaves, and have had to put up with a lot (being potted on, moved around in the nursery, moved when they're bought, planted up). I just cut them off carefully, and as long as the upper leaves are healthy, your plant shouldn't be affected.:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

No green or whitefly on leaves. Leaves are green but brittle checked again and they seem to be more than halfway up the plant and spreading or is it me being paranoid. 2 plants r in the 4 tier mini greenhouse and the others are outside the worst one is outside. The solving of a problem lies in finding the solvers.0 -
Mine are like this too? It's the top bunch of leaves, all others look fine.
No sign of any flowers or fruit yet. Was wondering if the earth was too wet - it was damp to the touch.
Any advice would be welcomed, thanksWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
