I'm not sure whether a lease is as cost effective on smaller ones. Adrian will probably help more in that department.

As a rule lease works for cars with poor 36 month and 36,000 mile residual values and part of the reason the residuals are poor is because the manufacturer lets the leasing forms and car rental companies have them in volume at big discounts over what the private buyer can get them for, these then come into the used market on low prices.
Cars with better residuals, typically the German marques, are usually better bought then sold if you can put the cash up, even then as a lease they are not too bad value.
Leasing disaster areas are those that don't go to the leasing firms on discounts with unpredictable and / or poor residuals. Subaru Legacy Estate 2.5i is an example of this, you can lease a BMW 520d or even 525d Touring for a lot less !!!

Don't know what this partner program is, but compare buying and selling at 36 months old with what ever discount that gives you vs. 35 month + 2 months monthly lease fee for the same car.
Look up the details on what car web site for a vehicle you like and look for the "lease this car now" link on the right of the page and you get a list of deals.
From memory Corsa's start at around £140 a month including VAT and road fund licence.
  • A colleague in my office just got a Peugeot 308 diesel for just over £200.00/mth from a leasing company that the company I work for always use, bargain I'll say, check out their website has great advice for all sorts of leasing on there, https://www.crystallease.co.uk

Another thing to bear in mind with leasing is that you don't have to pay road tax (VED) for the duration of the lease. So for example on a Corsa 1.2i 16v SXi you would be saving £360.00 on a 3 year lease deal.
