Fylde Hotel Palatine Road very clean, good breakfast and close to town centre.
  • Try and stay somewhere that has either a Visit Britain star rating or a Blackpool Council Quality rating. That way the establishment has been inspected for cleanliness, quality of beds, bedding, facilities etc. Blackpool Councils site www.visitblackpool.com has an accommodation search facility that enables you to specify location and rating, i.e North , Central or South. South is the area that the Pleasure Beach, Water Park and South Pier are located in. Central is the Tower and Central Pier. North is North of the North Pier to Bispham. If you have kids I would go for the South.
I would recommend the open top bus to see the illuminations, but wrap up warm. A tram is also good to see the lights but you are looking from the side for most of the 10km of lights.

Hope you have a great time.

We stayed there at Easter after a recommendation here.

Cleanest B&B we've stayed at, excellent, and ask them to reserve you a car park space.

Try the Grand Hotel in St Annes, this hotel is out of this world!!!!
Its so gorgeous and a bit posh and they do great deals at the weekend especially if you are flexible on the weekend you go.

Sorry meant to add, its a quick bus ride to Blackpool, about 10 minutes at most and on the sea front with a good kids play area/pub opposite.

I would recommend the Inglewood on the prom, around £20pppn B&B, really clean and really friendly and welcoming. We are going in 3 weeks! Cant wait!
