Darkangel sorry to snip post...I tried the above one the other day and the till beeped for me..thought it was a bit strange as they are supposed to be 'styling ' products, would have thought that the above one was more of a styling product than the conditioning mask.

    Hi AM,

I have to be honest and say I haven't tried to buy this. You are right that it is a styling product so you have met the requirements for the voucher but who knows how Mr B works. Did you dispute it with the SA at the time?

I might try this next time I get a till spit but need to think of what I "need" to buy around the £5 mark first :D
  • I am getting mixed up with weekend retreat bags and berry bags, I saw berry bags today for £10 on SEL, how much are they if they are reduced?

I'm sitting cursing cos I've just realised that I have c*cked up my Sanctuary purchases again!!What a numpty! Last time I forgot to use my £3 off vouchers. This time I used one, but totally messed up the 3 for 2, so I could have spent a lot less and got more products by using more vouchers and grouping things differently. I'm sooo annoyed. I think it was the 3 for 2 that confused me,although sitting here it's blatantly obvious now what I should have done
    .
Cue another sleepless night fretting about my inefficiency - I've even worked out exactly how much less I could have spent if I'd done it right, just to torture myself. Does anyone else do this?!

Add this to the car prang on the way home, and I can't see it being an alcohol free night.....

Hope you ladies are better oragnised than me!

I went to Boots today with the intention of getting a couple more mags and baby food, and left ALL my coupons at home!! Aggghhh, then I looked in my handbag and few, relief! there was my £2 till spit!!

thank you to CHOCOLATEFUDGE, I saw one final weekend retreat bag for Sanctuary products, it was priced £20 but I remembered what chocolatefudge had written. Went to the till and asked SA to scan it first as I wanted to check price. There was no one behind me at this stage!!

she scanned it and lo and behold, scanned at £5!!!! Woohoo, thankyou chocolatefudge, early birthday present for me, I love Sanctuary products. She said wow what a bargain are there any more? I said I couldn't see any, but she could have a look, she might get lucky.

So she scanned through the rest of my products, came to UG, and I had the shine product, my half price off would not scan. She called the manager who said he needed "the keys", went off, came back, still not scanning. she put through the rest of my items and I looked behind me, a huge queue!!! where did they all come from?

So Manager is trying to make this half off work at different tills, not working. He comes back to same till, manually enters it, with "the keys" and it works, so he says £2.39 please. I say, could you put through the other voucher please? He said I just did, I reply, no the £2 off till spit please. He did and looks astonished at the till and says 39p please!!!

The SA says you really know your stuff in front of the MANAGER! I said no, just my lucky day. I saw the half price offer on ACM and had £2 till spit and it was for same product, so I knew I could get it cheaper... phew, do you think I got away with it?

Nice young security guard who used to follow me around, saw me again today, and just grinned at my shopping basket, with baby in my arms, being cheeky, I think he is used to me now!! Knows not to bother following me anymore!!

Our memory cards were reduced to but had left vouchers at home!!!

Saw more products on ACM though, valid till my birthday!!

HMmmmmm, might have to ask for money and do a huge boosting boots for me.... oh, I already do that, don't I? LOL. Hmmm, will get perfume with points but want to try and get bargain....

I love MSE, the community on here are wonderful like my comping community, they have helped me to win some decent prizes which are a big help living on a budget. I put a big up on netmums today about MSE.

    who are you on netmums?:j

I did and he said he couldn't understand why it wouldn't go through either..queue was building up behind me and was only having a quick dash of a shop so just went and got aother conditioning mask..wasn't in the mood for waiting around for manager..plus didn't want to draw attention to myself and a manager say I couldn't use 2 vouchers.Sa did agree with me that it was bizarre though. If I had really wanted to spray I would have hung around..but can't complain at the hair mask for 9p;)

  • Fairly pointless visit to branch of Boots slightly further afield today. Was skipping with delight when I saw ACM in there for first time but DRAT it didn't work.

Went in for UG glitch but no dazzling shine range, went in for Ponds but do not stock:mad: , went in for NC sponge bags (75p but 100pts from mag back) but do not stock. Hmmmm!

Clearance goodies not up to much but bought four swimming nappies for 50p each with points.:T

Bought mundane things without any coupons or bargains. SA said "you've got enough points haven't you" to which I replied "you can never have enough points":rotfl: She said "you must spend a lot of money in Boots" and I was tempted to reply, "yes but not as much as you think I do":rotfl: :rotfl: Then they couldn't give me a till spit due to problems with system so they've written on receipt and told me to get it from another store!!

Interesting observation in store however - Max Factor displaying sign saying only have to spend £15 not £18 to get GWP:beer: . Agonised over what I could get but couldn't get stuff I wanted to add up to more than £14.90 or less than £18 so didn't bother. Would have been interesting to see what happened at the till if I'd tried to get GWP with £15 purchase and £2 PC coupon though.

Wonder if anyone can shed any light on this for me.

Went to Boots on Saturday on my way to Glasgow and bought 2 meal deals came to £5.98 at the bottom of the receipt it says "you have bought 4 meal deals Buy 2 more before etc etc. So on Sunday i go to Boots and buy 2 meal deals for £5.98 this time i paid with points and the bottom says You have bought 2 meal deals buy 4 more etc etc.

This month I brought my 1st meal deal with cash and got two others (in separate transactions) with points but the receipts recognised each meal deal purchase regardless of method. Maybe it can't cope with multiple buys?

Really strange pricing Boots are doing at the moment. The same products (Sanctuary) with exactly the same bar codes (on the product) coming up with different prices.

Not in boots stores in different towns but neighbouring stores (next street to each other!) in the same town.

SEL in one store had 75% off. Went through at 75% off.

SEL in next store did not have 75% off. Went through at full price.

Of course these prices are only (correctly) reflecting the SEL prices. And yet these are products with the e-x-a-c-t same bar codes bought just a few minutes apart. They are not "clearance stickered" items.

Price are obviously "exclusive" to the store rather than the town let alone the country.
