Hmmm
Not been doing well. Overdraft is now at £857......
So back on here with a vengeance.
Friday - no spend day
Saturday - no spend day
Sunday - £7 lunch out
Monday - no spend day
So that takes us to today and I have £43 left. I am going into town for lunch with my sister though so will try and keep incidental spending to a minimum.0 -
Hi,
You may find it useful to write a weekly amount in your spending diary and deduct each item of spend in the book keeping a constant balance. That way you know if you're overspending. If you've any over at the end of the week then put it towards your most expensive debt.
Constantly referring to the bank balance is, unfortunately, meaningless. Firstly it does not included uncleared effects and secondly it is no indicator of how much you have to spend.
Also you need to budget an amount to hack away at the od or it will never disappear.

Hi,
This is what i am doing david. The account is my personal account and there are no bills or anything els going out they are budgeted out of the joint account and are all fine. Its just my spendo I am rubbish with.
I get £300 per month and am hoping to just spend £50 per month hence the above. I had £50 and spent £7 so i had £43. Nothing to do with the bank balance that SHOULD go down gradually by at least £50 a month providing I leave it alone!!!
So Tuesday:
Lunch out - £7
Pressie for a friend who had a new baby girl (£4 in the sale yey!)
Birthday/new baby and anniversary cards for friends - £4.38
Bus fare to and from town - £2.80
Left over - £24.840
