AA Breakdown repair cover

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you folks had used this service at all and if its worth having? Its an extra £6 per month on top of my usual breakdown cover and covers repair bills of up to £500 parts and labour, if you breakdown. Im on an extremely tight budget and have a ten year old car and would really struggle to pay for repairs at the moment if something goes wrong. Just wondering if anyone knew if its a good service for example do they take you to a garage of their choice where £500 wouldn't go far if you know what I mean:rolleyes: . any advice would be much appreciated!!!!
