I just need some more guidance off you clever techie people!!!
I purchased a Tom Tom one (3rd edition) whilst in florida last week, but obviously this is no good to me now as its loaded with US maps etc.
Can I load it with new maps of UK and Europe (we are going to France in August) and secondly, can this be done cheaply
Thanks!

If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

I'll leave it to you to decide whether TomTom's prices are cheap!0 -
its gonna be difficult.....because your unit is minus an SD card slot (I think) then you'll have to delete and load one set of maps at a time (as the unit only has 1GB of memory) so some maps may work out too big for your unit to use (some maps depending on where you need can be 900MB upwards) it wont work out cheap though

Hmmmm........
As the TomTom is only 1gb I only have enough space to download the uk version, not the Europe one. Is there anyway I can delete the US version currently on the system to create more space???If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

Yes you can. Use TomTom HOME to backup your device to a PC; or better still just connect your TomTom to the PC (via USB lead) and open up the 'drive' in explorer, make sure you are viewing all files (inc. hidden and system files) and copy the lot to your hard drive.
Then delete the US map from TomTom and copy your new map (once you have purchased it) onto your TomTom.0 -
and then you'd have to go through the same thing for every new map you wanted to installWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
