New Bathroom & Building Control?

Can anyone help please?

When having a new bathroom installed, who is responsible for notifying building control?

Is it the home owner or the plumber, I know some plumbers can self notify, but if they can't who is responsible?

Didn't realise you have to inform anyone, do you mean just a bathroom suite? If so I've probably broken the law.
