Car Hire & Visa Electron

Hi all

I need some help with car hire in the UK and was wondering if anyone on here could assist.

I am trying to book and pay for car hire for July/August of this year online and I can only pay with Visa Electron. I have a credit card to use for the 500/600 deposit they want when I arrive but due to the limit of the credit card I cannot afford to pay for this deposit AND pay for the car on the same card. Ive been to the car hire comparison sites and found quite a few reasonable prices but once I enter all my details, I find I cannot pay with Visa Electron and Im getting a little tired of trying to find one now so I thought I would ask on here. Does anyone know of a company that I can pay online with Visa Electron for the car booking fee? Its very strange because one company that accepts Visa Electron for flights will not accept Visa Electron to pay for a car!!!

Just pay the deposit on the card and pay the hire fee in cash. Alternatively get one of those pay as you go cards which you top up and use that.
