I'm moving house next month (hopefully!). Taking curtains, plant pots, lampshades, replacing the energy saving lightbulbs with tesco value ones ;-)
But nothing too bad
I should also add that whenever I've moved I've always left a card and a bottle of champagne for the new owners0 -
I'm also moving house in the next month, just filled in the form for what's staying and what's not. Will be taking all my energy saving bulbs & my lightshades as they are glass and cost £15 each, leaving the ceiling fans and spotlights though. Taking curtains but not the tracks, carpets are staying. DH insisted on taking the shed otherwise we'd have nowhere for his huge collection of tools.0

I'm in my first home, so haven't been in that situation yet, but my dad used to take light bulbs and carpets and pretty much anything he could get away with before mum found out!!
The previous owners of my home left me a three-piece suite, curtains, a bed, lampshades and a fridge! V kind I thought, cos they knew I didn;t have anything of my own.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

When I moved I took my energy saving lightbulbs as they are expensive to buy.
Left curtains etc no point taking them as they fit the decore of the place I was leaving. And not even sure they would fit in my new place.
Had bought light fittings just to sell the place was so was going to leave them and they cost very little. And not sure they would fit in with the new place.
Took a little wooden wall store but left the shed because if I had moved it, it would have fallen to bits. Husband said we where going to leave the rotary line. Not happy as it cost me £36.
But I was nice and when I moved I left a moving pressie.
A bucket and I filled it with
Freebie packets of tea and coffee
UHT milk.
Washing up sponges and clothes
Washing up liquid
Some headache tablets
A mug and mat.
Washingup brush.
Spare light bulbs
Candles and a lighter
Mind you didn't even get a thankyou via the EA for doing that. So will not do that again.
Yours

When and where from do you get the 'form' in question? I'd love to have it now and fill it out ready, rather than rush it at a later date.

When we were about to move into our place, the previous owners gave us a list of things they obviously didn't want and wanted us to buy - this included light fittings that were included in the sale! I was shocked. We did want the tumble dryer off them as they offered a decent price for that but then they changed their mind because a 'relative' needed it. We later found out they gave it our neighbour and he never used it and we ended up being given it in the end! friends of ours took all thier fitted carpets, light fittings and curtain rails, and garden plants .. they even took the laminate floor out of thier kitchen and garage conversion !! i laughed in her face when she told me ... her new house wasnt even the same style .
we did swap all the chrome and brass light fittings and plugs for normal plastic white ones, and we refitted them in our new house.
We have a rented house in cardiff and have just moved out the old tenants to move in new. Now missing one wardrobe and one chest of drawers, left behind however, 2 mountain bikes, 2 tv's, one video. one tv & video combi, a teleohone answermachine, a george forman, toaster & deep fat fryer and bags and bags of clothes. all electrics are in working order and the clothes are a selection from GAP, river island, top shop, oasis, m&s .. all in my size !!!!!) the wardrobes and chest of drawers were awful too !! so no complaints there !!0 -
My brother had a rather different experiance, whereby he checked the new house the day before the day of the move and all was well, but come moving day he was horrified to discover the double garage was full from floor to roof with rubbish/junk from the previous vendor  . The garage was empty when he last looked a few weeks before, and he had to pay for 2 large skips to remove it all to landfill. He was NOT a happy bunny, and he had a mind to dump the lot at the venders new house, but didn't know where they had gone, and the solicitors and EA basically said 'Tough', tuned out there was nothing he could do, as the waste was on his property so why should anyone else have to pay for removal.
Why are people so horrible to each other...............Not ashamed to say ABBA are Great :j0
