the problem is that this wont work properly and it will a problem found with alot of phones sold on ebay as they arent unlocked properly.....the only way to do it is a factory reset so that the hidden menu can be viewed and the phone can be properly unlocked.

The phone auto hunts for a 3g signal and if its locked to 3 it will hunt for 3's kit.

i had 4 turn up yesterday 3 gold ones and 1 silver got them unlocked but i think i am gonna get the software reset done i have found a guy in doncaster who does them he's gonna do all 4 for £25.
does this sound a fair price guys?

well i finally did it - took the plunge and went to the trktll site

first code out (no 7) worked (yeh)

noticed that there was only one number different from the unlock me site, but this was obviously causing prob

I went today & got a full reset done using "Griffin gold"
As Im off on holiday with it and my free o2 sim in the morning.
Did'nt want it f****ing while I was off on Hol.
Nice chap did it for £15 which is a bit pricey but needs must n all that.
Its now locked down to gsm network and the hidden menu is no more.
So no more roaming for 3 network yippee.
Bit of a mad phone tho dont you think?

i got my phone yesterday, from amazon, but I wanted to know if any of you are having trouble installing the driver on the cd, for the cable

I use windows xp professional, and for some reason after installing the driver, windows keeps wanting to try to download a driver itself over and over. Basically it wont let me connect my phone to the pc

anyone have this problem, or know a solution?

i havent tried installing the driver for my 7600 phone yet, but i did try it for my nec e616v, and with that phone, it was a bit of a palaver too, it kept trying to download the swedish version of the driver. the other thing to note is that it had to install 4 different drivers, one after the other, this might give you the impression that it is installing the same driver over and over again, when in fact it isnt.

just thought this might be the problem you are having?
