I totally agree! I learned somewhere (may or may not be true) that spiders only thrive in a clean environment - ie they do not thrive if the environment is too polluted etc - so a live spider is evidence of a good life-supporting environment. I tried really hard to bring my son up not to be afraid of spiders - and my father undid it all in one go with one careless remark - my son is terrified of spiders to this day - however, I have taught him how to 'manage' their removal without killing them.;)Spiders are our *friends*...
