I'm much better nowadays than I used to be, especially since I started working in school. I can hardly run round like a screaming banshee if I see one there can I
I once looked down to see a spider crawling up my top. I was alone in the house (it was before I got married) I managed to ring my now DH but he couldnt make out what I was screaming, he assumed I was being attacked by someone, and drove round so fast, he came round the corner on two wheelsIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hello spud, how are you?
I can't understand anyone being afraid of spiders, never have been. I like rats and mice too.
Draw the line at lizards, but not afraid of them, just don't like them.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I'm OK with most things except spiders and daddy long legs - they're even worse than spiders coz they can fly :eek:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

1. Spray them with can of hairspray - freezes legs so you can hoover them up or pay a child/OH/another adult to remove.
2 Empty cake tin. Put over said creepy, put a brick on top of it so it can't escape and wait for help.
3 Hit with hammer then hoover up.
These are all solutions that I or my best friend have used in the past.
Do any of you remember that advert with a little boy with the spider in the matchbox - Harry the Spider's coming out party - well I renamed spiders
Harry 1 The coming out party
Harry 2 - the return of Harry
Harry 3 - the revenge.

Hi
Have to join in with this one! I am terrified of spiders and when I first moved into my flat at the tender age of 20 there was one on the wall. My friend and I drove all round our town until we found someone we knew and persuaded him to come back to get rid of it for me.
I have spent many an evening sat on the top of the settee in tears because one has run across the floor.
My Dad tried to make my daughter be okay with them so she could help me as she got older but unfortunately my fear transferred itself to her!
Why do people always say - they are probably more scared of you than you are of them - it doesn't help and I know it is irrational but it is very real!
