Vista went mad and all my Photo's are gone.

Options
Hello, I was really hoping someone could help me to recover my photographs. I really have no idea what happened but I had to use the recovery disc to get my laptop working and when I got it all back up and running it had lost everything.

I know now (from reading other posts) I should have back upped but I didn't. Is there any way to find my photo's?

You'll have to make any answers really simple as I really am dim when it comes to computers.

Thanks :o

there is a way put,you mite not get them all back if any,you need a program something like recover my files this costs money and a usb flash drive again costs money put there mite be some free ones about that i do not know about.
the more you us the pc the less chance you will have in getting them back and it depends on what the recovery disc has done so the above could be a waste off money ,i am not recermending that program it's just one i found on a google search and tryed when looking a free one for you

have you look in my computer and see if there are two winows file if you have, your pic mite be there ,
i would recermend getting a computer savy friend or family member to have a look, i
if not get a friend or family memder that do's now about pc to try to recover them for you (not someone that thinks they do)if possible.because someone that thinks they do can ,mite lose them forever
it's something i would not do lightly and i would not go to a shop to get it done that would be a waste of money
there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

Thank you so much, I'd been worrying about this all night.
I went into my computer and found "old windows" and eventually tracked down my photo's. I've dragged and dropped them into the windows that is active now and I've burned them onto a disc.
Once again I can't say thank you enough as I thought I'd lost them and all the memories they hold.

You might want to think about:

A: Doing regular backups! Doubly important if you're keeping precious photos on your PC.

B: Installing Recuva (it's free). It's not, by any means, a substitute for backing up but it could get you out of a hole once in a while.

And remember, there are two types of people in this world. Those who backup and those who wish they had..........
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????
