I really dont know the answer but I suggest you copy and post this query on the banckruptcy board. They are a great lot.

    welcome congrats on your bravery
im so sorry youre in this situation. I have just gone bankrupt myself and i was in a fine old mess before. I am however differnet from you I had no house to loose and it wont effect my job, BUT the feeling I have now is like being born again I am feeling like the world has been lifted off my shoulders and i wish it was possible for me to have done it sooner. It may not be right for you though I suggest you get more expert advice I used the debt councellor at the citizens advice she was wonderfull.
We all make mistakes in life so dont so beet yourself up about it. Try to be possitive. You have realised you are in a mess and that is the first step to sorting it out.
I suggest you keep on pushing the raf for an answer on the loosing your job part so you know where you stand.
CHIN UP and take it one step at a time try not to worry (hard I know)
My motto is they can take your possessions but they cant take your dignity.

Hi circus 48 and welcome to the Forum.

You are NOT alone that's first to remember and no amount of worrying will help you it'll only stop you from thinking straight and possibly make you ill. You know where you've gone wrong and I hope you don't go down that road again for your good and all the family's, but we all do stupid things through life, now's the time to put it behind you and move on to what's best to do about it.

I agree with NUF!!!!ter that you'd do best to copy & paste the above at put it on the Bankruptcy board. Meanwhile take a look at this link to Martin's video about debt help it's helped me so much in the past and gives you a sort of peace. One day, well into the future maybe, this nightmare will all be over and you can start over again and be happy.

    All the very best.

Well done for realising there is a problem and looking for help to find the right solution. Can you start with filling in this SOA claculator and post the results here so we can first off see what is what :) Remember APRs for debts - they're quite important :)http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html

As for your house value - how many estate agents did you get to value the house? Always get about 3 to value it as sometimes it can vary - and it is possible you got a newbie who might not be as good with current market values etc as others.

    Hang in there :)
