Help finding Asda/Tesco Edinburgh City centre

Could someone tell me where the closest Asda/tesco is to Edinburgh city centre. I'm going self catering next week and wondered what was nearest. If you have a postcode for it that would be great.

Theres a couple of Asdas in Edinburgh, where roughly are you staying?

Are you driving? There's a sainsburys savacentre at Cameron toll - has the advantage of parking.

I would use the store locator but as I don't know Edinburgh I wouldn't know which one was closest to the city centre.
We're staying just at
Holyrood Road
Edinburgh
EH8 8BA.

Using your postcode, and the provided store finders above i rather cunningly found the stores. Took rather a lot to figure it out, but I think that it works.

Or you could try the Edinburgh Metro Tesco. - half a mile from your place. Walking distance!

Nearest tesco (tesco metro) to that is on Nicholson st. Walking directions (based on where Google put your postcode): Head right from your digs, up Hollrood/Cannongate. Go under South Bridge (the only bridge over Cannongate), head right up the next street, turn right at the Tron pub, right again at the tourist tat shop, and it'll be on your left after a few blocks. There's also a Farm Foods and a Lidl in that area.

Er, yes I *was* a student in Edinburgh, why do you ask

And a gazillion busses go to it, too!

There is a small Sainsburys just off Princes Street behind Jenners and a big M&S on Princes Street with a good food hall.
