Triton T80 si Shower

I have identified my shower as being a Triton T80 si (wasn't difficult as it says it on the front!). I am in the process of doing some renovations, one of which is upgrading the heating system. I'm wondering how this shower works - reason is to identify whether it's compatible with a combi boiler system (currently have an open-vented system). If not, how difficult is it to remove the shower and fit a compatible shower unit.
Thanks,
Mandy

We have Triton T80 xr fitted and we use a combi no problems.
According to the web the SI is the same spec as mine.0 -
I've got that shower, but also have a combi boiler (was all installed before I moved in). I replaced my bath taps with a mixer, and now run the shower from that. I get far hotter and more powerful showers - after all, when you turn up the heat on the electric shower, all you're doing is restricting the flow of cold water through it so it runs more slowly past the elements, getting hotter in the process. (To answer your original question, the unit does not have a hot supply pipe at all - so is not at all affected by the new boiler).
I've just left the electric shower unit in place as a backup should I have a boiler failure, switched off at the fuse box with a little tap under the bath isolating its water supply.0 -
Thank you both very much. Not just have you answered my question, you also explained why. Perfect!
