its on for 149950 so i thought 142 was a more than generous offer. they have already sold twice and it fell thru. we are in a good position as we're first time buyers and have a good deposit. the EA says there is someone else interested but hasnt made an offer yet. the vendors said that theyre not willing to negotiate but they also said that theyre waiting to emigrate as soon as it sells and would do anything to sell it. so who knows! not sure what to do next.0

They probably think an emmet will snap it up in the next month or so.
I'd leave it for now, stay quiet, keep watching it, see if the agent calls you back.0 -
Yep, they'll be hoping the summer holiday crowd have a sudden 'must live here' moment and decide to buy up everything in sight. And when it doesn't happen... they might kick themselves. We were thinking of moving to the Truro area (in the end dp got a job in Wales instead) and the amount of property coming on there presently is phenomenal. Don't worry. If this doesn't work out something else will come along.0

We have a railway behind us and to be honest we dont even notice it, mind you saying that we dont really get a load of trains and the road is a culdesac and is very quiet.
To be honest ive lived by a busy road previously and it is far worse.

The game is that you always reject the first offer, but I wouldn't go too much higher. Drive them insane with £500 increments if you must even if you think it's worth it. The £145k mark might be where their head is at but I'd still be trying hard to secure it under that
