Is This A Good Laptop?

Need to get a laptop for my DS, preferably one with XP rather than Vista. His needs are fairly basic, ie internet, Word/Excel, storing music but he would also like it to have wireless capability and a DVD re-writer.

Have seen this one at Misco and would welcome views on it.

The link to the laptop I posted had XP whereas the others have Vista, does that account for the price difference.

There's quite a few different laptops available at Misco with XP but I've been advised to get a laptop that is quite popular next time so it's easier to get parts if something breaks down and I'm not sure if Acer fits into that category.

Got a Lenovo (IBM's new name I believe) last Sept with XP for Dabs.. excellent laptop
