I am just in the process of completing an application and transfer form to transfer my ISA from IF to Halifax. I can't see anywhere on the form about giving them my current account details from where I will fund my ISA after the initial transfer. The only thing I can see is bank account details if you want them to credit the interest to another account.

When I made my application in branch, I was told by the Halifax staff that you can't "pull" your money in to this account from the Halifax end. You have to "push" it from your bank or other account, using your Halifax details as the reference.
You can "push" your money out of the ISA by creating a linked account online, but as mine is not yet set up I can't advise any further.
Hopefully they'll do something about this, as this is one of the features I'll miss from my IF ISA. I'll not, however, miss the 4.55% it's currently paying.0 -
I can't pay into mine online from my Halifax bank account. I can set up the details but when I actually try to transfer the money it says 'Sorry transfer not available'. Don't understand. Any ideas what it means?
I can't get any further until I reset my telephone banking security details. Which I can't do til next wkend as I have to go to the branch. All these hoops...
Slight diversion, its amazing how many people get stroppy when they are told they need more ID etc. The lady I spoke to was obviously petrified of me having kittens over it. I told her that it was all in my interests and she said 'I'm glad you see it like that'. Well its true, I want anyone attacking my account to have to jump through 1000 hoops.0 -

I am doing the same transfer (IF to Halifax).
How many days did it take between the account opening appointment to the funds leaving IF and appearing in the new Halifax account?
I ask as my appointment was a week yesterday, Saturday 24th September.
I wonder when the dosh will be moved across!0 -

When I made my application in branch this week to transfer 2 ISAs from Abbey Postal and 2 from First Direct to Halifax, I simply filled out two identical forms for Halifax to pass to Abbey and FD for the transfer to take place. Halifax were doing the donkey work.0 -

From memory, I think they have either 21 or 28 days to complete everything, but I'm not worrying unduly. They're bound to be snowed under seeing as they currently top the "stakeholder" best-buy tables0 -

Mines been two weeks as well, and I have heard from Abbey (who I'm moving from), they said they've closed my account. But its not popped up in Halifax yet.YorkshireBoy wrote:From memory, I think they have either 21 or 28 days to complete everything, but I'm not worrying unduly.
