Postal order not received by me (Seller) HELP!
A_little_stressed!!
I asked a buyer to pay by postal order, this was weeks ago, within the week she said she had posted 3 weeks later I e-mailed her saying I have received nothing. She promptly replied "I did send it"
Where do I now stand? I think it's funny she never contacted me to see if I had received, but I had to contact her!
Is she trying it on? Or if it genuinely has been lost what do we do now?

Ultimately its not your problem. She will have to send a replacement or maybe consider alternative payment method.
Personally I would bed opening a NPB dispute, 3 weeks is more than long enough to wait for payment.0 -
I had this problem with a Buyer of mine.
I never received the postal order from the Buyer.
I opening an UID and relisted the item.
Got a neg from the NPB and endless threats of bodily harm for stealing her money, just under £10. She went to the police and I got a phone call. I explained to the police that I had never received the p/o and that it was easy for her to check that out with the Post Office. Have heard nothing since and that is now weeks ago.
Hope you get yours sorted out.0 -
Had a similar situation. Buyer didnt contact me to see if I had received the PO, simply waited until I contacted them to chase it up.
Buyer's response "I have sent the PO so this is not my problem". How I would wish to reply to a buyer saying 'I have sent your item so this is not my problem'.
This is just another example of the type of buyers that sellers have to put up with that now have freedom to dish out negatives when the seller is not to blame in anyway.0 -

Sounds like a nutter! Poor you0 -
You haven't received payment so that's that you have no responsibility beyond telling her that. Assuming that she isn't trying it on (assume innocence until there's proof otherwise whether you personally believe it or not) the postal order has gone missing in the post. She paid for it's postage and so she entered into a contract with Royal Mail (or whoever) for it's delivery - they haven't kept up their end of the agreement so it's down to her to speak to them about either finding it or claiming for it's replacement NOT your problem but Royal Mail might want something from you stating that you haven't had it.
In her position I'd hope you would give me a chance to re-send payment and complete the transaction whilst I chased Royal Mail but that's it. If she start's asking for more then I'd simply report her as a non-paying bidder and sell the item to someone else.0 -
I would email her and suggest she cancel the original PO (number should be on her receipt!) and send another - at least by saying that it proves that you don't have it - after all, if you did, why tell her to cancel it!!!0

The Buyer can check with the Post Office by taking in the receipt.
Simple as that0 -
