fridge temperature

I have a haier fridge and have lost the book for it.does anyone know to get the fridge colder do i need to choose a lower or higher number on the dial inside the fridge.The numbers go from 1 to 7. is 1 or 7 colder please?

On my fridge higher numbers make it colder.

thanks i thought that was the case,i have just turned it up to 6 see if that makes it any colder the temp gauge is saying8 degrees so ill leve it overnight to hopefully get colder

Haier have a download page for their manuals here so you may well find a replacement booklet for your exact model.

Having glanced at a few it seems that the higher the number the colder the fridge.
