Hi,
I have recently signed up to sky, ang got a sky+box + installation of dish etc for the price of 1 months full package price, and the usual contract. The sky rep selling the package said if I cancel the sports and extra's soon after getting the package I could revert to the lower £16 a month cost. I got the package on June 1st 08.
I phoned sky to cancel the extra sports etc today, and the woman said I CAN'T CANCEL until 1 month after installation i.e July 1st. But surely if i ring up on July ist it wil be to late to cancel July's payment so ineffective I will have to pay £49 for at least 2 months before i can cancel. Is this true that you can't cancel before the first month is up. I can't really afford the full price, Not sure what to do any ideas? Thanks.
