Hi, I'm having problems printing, I have a HP deskjet 940c and have had it for about 7 years, a few months ago the colour ink started printing with streaks in it, I didn't think I'd used it enough for it to be running out but I do use it most days so I got a new cartridge and it's doing exactly the same the with the new one I've just put in, is there something I can do to fix it or is my printer dead?
oh I tried the normal cleaning process when it first started.

Hi Vicky,
Sounds like you've had you're monies worth out of the old printer!. The HP 78 Colour Cartridges are complete with print head in the cartridge, so the only thing you could try is an original HP cartridge to see if that cures your problem. At around £20 quid for a new cartridge it is cheaper than replacing your printer!0 -
Thanks for that I did panic a bit when I though I may need a new one as this one cost me well over £100 but they do seem to be a bit cheaper these days, I may try an original ink cartridge and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks again.
