I have gallons and gallons of used sunflower oil to get rid of.

Can anyone please tell me if it's ok to take it to the council tip and put it in the waste engine oil bin?

It can be used as fuel in place of diesel in SOME cars if filtered and a small amount of some stuff added. Be careful to check the car should be able to run it ok though. I believe Lucas diesel pumps would be killed by it.

As for taking to council refuse don't know, but there may be someone who uses veg oil in diesels who'll be happy to take it off your hands and probably even pay for it.

Stick it on Gumtree/in local paper. You might be able to get a fiver for each 20l drum

As above, sell it. Someone will happily pay for it to run their diesel cal on it.
