hi folks
i am looking to buy 2 hard drives to put into a small network i use and was thinking of using either 750's or 1tb.
which are the best ones to use and are there any available at a decent cost(although prob more worried about performance than cost without rippig the A. out of it)
i hope to set these up as raid drives and we need a lot of storage
thanks in advance
Andrew

At the moment - purely in terms of cost per Gb - 750Gb and 1Tb drives don't seem to be good value for money.
As far as I can see, 500Gb drives are still best value as you can get them for around £45. The cheapest 1Tb drive I found was just under £120 - a substantial premium to put more of your eggs in one basket.0 -
There is no advantage to using a 1TB over a few 500GB, infact you will probably find faster 500GB drives than 1TB, write and read speeds are what make a drive worth buying so forget size and research just how fast you need your access to be.It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.0

Couple of places to look if you do go down the 1TB route are
