YouTube/ICQ chat/Adobe Flash Player problem

Hi
I use two websites regularly - YouTube and ICQ, and I wondered if anyone else is having similar problems to me.
Up until a few days ago I was able to watch videos on YouTube with no problems at all. Then a message started to appear saying "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player", along with a link to download the latest version of Flash Player. So I downloaded the latest version of the player and was able to watch YouTube videos again.
Quite straightforward - or so I thought........
However, I also use chatrooms which I access via the ICQ website. Once I had downloaded the latest version of Flash Player, the ICQ chat would not connect at all, no matter how many times I tried. So I got rid of the latest version of Flash Player, reverted to the previous version and ICQ chat connected perfectly again. But of course now YouTube videos will not play.
I checked the YouTube help pages to no avail. These pages also state that Flash Player version 7 or above is needed in order to view videos there. I have version 9 - but the previous version rather than the most current one.
Is anyone else having similar problems, or able to offer help?
Many thanks in advance.

Are you on Aol by any chance as I have had this problem in the past and "cured" it by rebooting, but it comes back.

Hi MrsB
No, I'm not on AOL. Really sorry to hear that you're having the same problem. Hope someone can help us.0 -
You could try a different browser like Opera. Worked for me.Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...0
