southern electric rate 1 price
Hi there, can anyone tell me what the price in pence is per kwh for their pre payment meter.(southern electric)
british gas tell me that their rate 1 on pre payment meter is cheaper
their rate is 20.048 for the first 500kwh per year then 11.357 after that
i cant seem to find any rates for southern electric and although british gas say they dont have a standing charge they may work out more expensive
kind regards in advance

As you are currently with Southern Electric, call them and ask if you can be transferred to Ebico with whom they have a partnership agreement. Recent posts suggest this is treated simply as a tariff change rather than a full blown provider switch.
You'll still be billed by Southern Electric, still use Southern Electric customer services, etc, but Ebico offer same price for all their customers (including pre-payment customers!) and no standing charges or 2 tier rates.
Check out Ebico rates here:

and see how they compare to what you are currently paying."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
