How easy is it to make an account??

Is it all online? and do you purchase instantly?

i've used them for over 10 years, great service, you should be able to open an account online, and deal as soon as you have deposited money, they use either batch orders which are a little cheaper, or immediate dealing, this assumes they can verify your details online, if not they will ask for you to send copies of bills etc, but as long as you have a bank account in your name linked to your address should be no prob

from memory i pay about £7.50, and usually buy about £1000 of shares every few months, i couldnt advise you on what to buy, however i would not touch any housebuilding shares at moment however cheap, if they are cheap then there is a reason, the share centre has an online advise centre which is free once registered, also a free telephone service where you can speak to their pros well worth it before you buy anything, hope this helps

almost forgot, you should only buy shares with a medium/ long term view ie min 3 years, i always look at 5 years at a min, i would leave short term buying to the pros, as you as an invester simply dont have the knowledge inside or not, of the investment companies who buy and sell in the hundred of thousands, its these people who cause the the share price to rise and fall,
