Extension wire for Sky!

Sorry this is not too technical, but dont know where to post this!

I want to rearrange my living room and so the TV needs go a corner...but dont have enough wire which comes from Sky dish?

Can we use any other wire / where can I get, say about 3metre length?

It will cause a slight loss in signal, but unless your satellite cable is already very long, it shouldn't be a problem.

That Amazon cable has a Male connector on both ends so it won't connect to your current Sky cable, really you need a cable with a Female connector at one end and a Male connector at the other end.

You could use that cable but you would also need one of these to link up the cable.

I'm not so sure, it looks like the original product you specified has one included, if you look at the blister pack, I think you can see it at the bottom. edit - it does say with link connector.

Satellite Cable carries a very small voltage, you really need a proper connection.

The example in post #2 gives you all that you need. The cable can be cut down and the F connector simply screws back on again.

Alternatively source the cable/connectors elsewhere if you can get them any cheaper.
