Odd Egg card application approval

Hi
I had a flyer from Egg offering me 0% for 15 months. I thought this would be a great way to get rid of some debt quicker. So I applied onlne. Had confirmation email saying I simply had to do a few clicks and I was done. But.... no where does it say I have been given the 0% it just harps on about the 16.9%. Am I to think that this is the offer I have? I have contacted them but nothing yet.
What do you think?

16.9 would be the normal rate which everyone gets.
I think your 0% offer will follow when you get your card.0 -
Thanks but the problem is I dont want the card unless I get 0%jonesMUFCforever wrote: »16.9 would be the normal rate which everyone gets.

You'll get whatever offer is on the website at the time you apply, which is currently 0% 'up to' 15 months with a 3% fee on BTs.
As jonesMUFCforever states the 16.9% rate quoted is the rate that will apply after any of the introductory offers expire. Don't forget that if you go over the card limit or you miss a payment then they'll take away the 0% offer on any existing balances and charge you interest.0 -
Thanks for the replies (well mostly - MABLE your exclamation mark appeared to be slightly sarcastic and was uncalled for)
I have heard from them now and I will be getting the 0%:j I had never applied online before and expected them to confirm this rate but instead all I could see was the 16.9%. I simply didn't want another useless card in my name.
Got great limit too so can put all my CC debts on to 0% and hopefully pay it all off by the time the rate is over.0 -
I blame jonesy you have to watch them man usa fans very sarky ..

Can I just quote from Martin here and suggest you don't bother unless you have something at least half decent to say!
