Is this a virus/spyware or nothing?

Options
Hello! I was doing a scan on my pc as you do and noticed something a bit strange....let me run you thru it.

Last Sat used my pc,updated virus/spyware software as normal then did 2 scans (one of each) no viruses or spyware found so I switched it off.

Last night put on my pc and did the updates straight away, then all I did is load up msn and talk to one person on cam.Nothing else clicked or pressed.
I did my scan on the spyware and it was clean, did my antivirus (which includes a different anti spyware too) and it said I had 1 virus which was called something like 'netupdate/volume information' then random numbers. I clicked remove as I always do restarted the pc and did another scan and again it was found,so I put it quarentine then removed it....turned it off.....scanned it again......now its gone.

I have 2 questions......how did I get this virus if id only been on msn and not downloaded/clicked anything at all!?

Anything to be concerned about?

Cheers people!:j
