You could go to Wonderland in Telford I dont know if thats too far but they have a beautiful woodland setting filled with childrens favourite fairytales and characters. Giant soft Indoor play area. Visit www.wonderlandtelford.com You could also try Dudley Zoological Gardens. under 4s go free www.dudleyzoo.org.uk or try http://www.familydealscard.com/html/free_stuff.html they have list of free days out. Something may be in your area.
Have a nice time.0 -
what about www.snowdome.co.uk at Tamworth, about 5 mins from Drayton Manor.
you can go ice skating and sledging there sometimes they do BOGOF on them aswell0 -

we went to the nature centre, its very good and very cheap admission. cost me a couple of quid to get in with 3 kids.“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. Your really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” Lucille Ball.0 -

Not far from Drayton Manor is Ashend Farm

Its really good fun, esp with children the age you have. You can hold the chicks, go egg hunting and ride the ponies. Its really a lovely day out. There is a picnic area or you can use their caf! or there is a nice pub up the road.
Great memories of taking the kids there.
As someone else has mentioned Caburys World.
There is the Science Museum but personally I think its overpriced and a lot of the items are broken and your children may be a little young. I hated it.
And maybe a trip to Stratford. There is the Butterfly farm there which is really fun but quite expensive (they are doing half price on the tetley offer thou) You can also go boating on the river.
There is the steam trains at Seven Valley.

There is the West Midlands Safari Park

I'm sure there would be nice things to do on the other side of Wolves but I'm not from that part of the woods so can't help, maybe someone else can suggest? But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more0 -
Get a days travelcard and use the bus, train and tram about 6 or 7 quid for a family. Can use it to go to the airport to see the planes and go on the monorail from the station to the airport.
The motor museam is free in Coventry and the card covers the west midlands. It is a short walk from the railway station or there are plenty of buses. Warwick castle is not too far and there are loads of half price offers around. Drayton manor is on BOGOF with old cereal packets too.0 -
Does anyone have any of these ceralbox vouchers, we are going at the weekend for dd birthday and am currently skint :rotfl:

The Motor Museum in Coventry is excellent, and as stated is free. It is right in the city centre. But it is actually quite a long walk from the station, certainly if you have kids. It is next to the bus station though.
The Science Museum in Brum referred to by Notakid is the Thinktank in Curzon Street. I agree it is rubbish, don't waste your money. It suffers from being infested with destructive brats who wreck the place, and useless staff who let them get on with it. It is a scruffy, squalid dump.
The Nature Centre in Cannon Hill Park is good value and well worth a visit. They sometimes do special events, like a creepy-crawly event for kids. My DD used to love the place.
Ash End House farm is about 2 miles from me at a place called Middleton. We used to take our livestock there when on holiday. It is certainly ideal for kids of that age. The pub is called the Green Man.;)0 -
Cadbury World is pricey and to be honest can be a bit of a let down.
You could take the kids to the Black Country Museum at Dudley where they can go on a canal boat and leg it down a tunnel.
Over by Wolverhampton, there is the Air Museum at RAF Cosford, there is Blists Hill Museum and other museums in the Ironbridge Gorge arear near Telford.
Birmingham City Museum is good and is free.
If you are a member of Pigsback then you could print off some vouchers - they have one for Birmingham that I am aware of - that is a trip along the canal in a narrow boat (it gives a totally different perspective of the city).
The Severn Valley Railway is good and if you stop at Bridgnorth, you can travel from Low Town to High Town on a funicular railway (cheap and fun).
A family daysaver ticket in the West Midlands for the West Midlands Travel Buses (double deckers mainly) is £6.
You could even take them on the longest bus route in the country and that is the No. 11 Outer Circle route (it must be good, it has its own travel guide).
Nr Wolverhampton, you have the Walsall Leather Museum too.
Try this site: http://www.wherecanwego.com/Search/Results.aspx?tab=0&p=WV1&co=Wolverhampton it might give you some ideas.
