I know this is a daft question - but is it a video capable ipod?
I know I accidentally put a video in my videos itunes folder (was meant to go elsewhere) and will happily play on the PC but not on my nano - pre video version.
(Not that I expected it to play mind you - but did try it)0 -
Hmmm, have you converted it or did you download it as mp4?
The method I use is to go to http://www.techcrunch.com/get-youtube-movie/ and paste the URL into the space there. It will download as "get_video". When it's fully downloaded, rename the file to "filename.flv". The .flv bit is the important bit!
Then download videora from here: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ and convert from .flv to .mp4
Put it on itunes and then onto your ipod."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Yes it is a video enabled ipod. I have also converted the files to mpeg4 so really do not understand why when they are on my itunes, they will not go to my ipod.
But then again, I have always been a techie thickie. I think technology is great, but when it goes wrong, or I cannot use it properly i'm always stumed.
Thank for you help, it is appreciated.Lic.0 -

Having tried a few of the ways mentioned on this post, the method above was the quickest and easiest for me!
So the problem is now solved and I would like to thank all of youwho replied.

The above site has several free programs for downloading videos to ipods and other conversions - it will even download just the soundtrack from a video to mp3 if required
Save using a 2 process method of downloading to a flv file and then converting it.0
