Cleaning satin shoes

Does anyone know what I can use to clean my white satin wedding shoes? I have a mystery stain on each shoe thats orange and about 2mm (on the side on one shoe and on the heel of the other). Someone suggested I used white spirit as the satin is white so I dont have to worry about colour loss but I dont want to ruin them.
Has anyone else clean satin before successfully?

You could try baby wipes. I seem to recall from my wedding planning days that they were recommended. They worked to some extend on my cream silk boots re stain removal.
DO a patch test first though on a less visible bit. Also wetting or using wipes on part of a shoe may leave a water tide mark.0 -
Could you ask a dry cleaner for advice? I'd be wary of putting anything wet on them to be honest0
