M&S Bottles of Fizz - Big Discount

  • I bought it with some other single bottles, and it did work for me. I think the box exclusion means the bozes with bags in side them and a spout. Suggest buy it with 6 bottles of fizz to bump up the count.

    Hope it works next time!

It does not work full stop - cashier tried it with 2 other bottles and did not work

Gaston de veau merlot and chardonnay cardboard pack/ 4 for 3 does not work as 3 or 4 bottles for the 25%. Only as one bottle as has only one barcode on box. I tried it with other bottles but the box only counts as one bottle. The assistant came to the shelf and said you will be better off buying single bottles.

Watch the dates on the summer fizz as some showed June and July 2008. When I told the assistant she said it's because it has fruit juice in it! I said more likely they have it on offer as it is coming to the end of shelf life!

I have noticed in M& S that they sell fresh food particularly chicken right up to the last minute (5pm or later) on the final sell by date. So watch the dates in there.

In Tesco they have a great Rioja at £4.49 which is normally £9. That's 50% off. Better than M&S deal and Tesco give another 5% for 6 bottles and you get clubcard points. All in all a better deal. The Rioja deal ends next week.

Sorry it didn't work in your store - it certainly does in mine. The way I understand it is that you just have to have more than 6 single items in your basket. See today's receipt below:

Bar a few pence, the discount for the wine was bang on. The wine spend was £222.40, less 25% for the weekend discount, and 10% for the voucher in the booklet. Maybe it's a local thing. This worked in Harrogate and Pudsey - I didn't need to get it overridden - that is what the tills reckoned automatically

And before anyone questions the state of my liver, this is planned to last me a good while. And I didn't clear out the shelves either - there was loads left at lunchtime today.

You're right to keep a look out on the sell by dates. There are some marked January - I am keeping the bucks fizz for our office christmas party to keep the costs down.

What a great post (I'm fairly new to this site - usually just an occassional lurker!)
Did it run out over the weekend? We've got a birthday party in August so this would be so handy to stock up on some for it. Never tried the M&S wine thou!

The 25% deal finished yesterday but I heard a M&S assistant saying that she thought it was on again next weekend. Watch out for it.

If you pick up the wine booklet freely available in most M&S food depts there's a 10% voucher for wine just inside the cover. That's valid until a date in August.

Make sure the assistant gives it back to you. I had to ask the cashier for it back, at the weekend!

Last friday I got the 3 x elderberry and the 3 x pink fizz ones for £6.40.

I got 3 for £5 as well as the 10% discount for 6 bottles and then used the 10% off the magazine. But it took 10% off the original total not the final total so took off another £1.80 even the SA said what a bargain.

Mine had dates for the end of the year. The elderberry one is lovely and goes down very well.

I gave a bottle of each away at the weekend. Make me look very generous but only cost me £2.14 for two. Which is way less than a bottle of cava or Asti.

Might have to try again this week.

    Enjoy.

    Yours
